Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy covers the Worldstitch Android and iOS app and the Worldstitch website. Screen capture and standard stitching happen on your device. Optional AI Enhance and AI stitch send images to third-party AI services only after you confirm the upload.
Capture and data on your device
Worldstitch uses the screen-capture permission you grant to capture your game, extract keyframes, and create stitched maps. Captures, full-resolution keyframes, maps, previews, capture settings, and local unlock preferences are stored on your device. Standard stitching does not upload them to Worldstitch.
On Android, the app reads launchable app names and identifiers to let you choose a game. That list stays on your device. Screen captures can include notifications, chats, usernames, or anything else visible on screen. Review your images before using AI or sharing them. Exporting or sharing a map sends it to the destination you choose, whose own privacy practices apply.
Optional AI uploads and recipients
Both AI features send user images over HTTPS through Worldstitch’s server, hosted by Vercel, to the following third parties. Image content can include personal information visible in the capture.
- AI Enhance: a copy of your finished stitched map is uploaded to fal.ai (Features & Labels, Inc.) for its Nano Banana Pro image-editing service, a Google model. The service fills gaps and repairs the map. fal.ai and its model provider process the image and the editing instructions. The generated image is hosted at a provider download URL and then saved on your device alongside your original.
- AI stitch: small JPEG thumbnails of the keyframes you are reviewing, their frame numbers, and your selected game name are uploaded through Vercel AI Gateway for Google Gemini processing. The model identifies usable map views; Worldstitch then stitches the selected full-resolution frames on your device. The full-resolution keyframes and recording are not sent for this feature.
You can cancel either confirmation and continue using local capture and standard stitching. Declining AI does not upload your images. We use these uploads to perform the feature you request, and do not use them to train our own AI models or sell them to advertisers.
An optional automatic HUD-crop service, where available, sends a supplied image through OpenRouter to a provider of Google Gemini to identify fixed game controls. The current mobile app uses manual crop settings and does not call this service.
Provider processing, storage, and any use for model improvement are governed by their applicable service terms and privacy policies: fal.ai, Vercel, Google, and OpenRouter. Providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
Rewarded ads and purchases
You can choose to watch a Google Mobile Ads rewarded ad to unlock one map. Google and its advertising partners may process technical and advertising information such as your IP address, device and advertising identifiers where permitted, approximate location, interactions with the ad, and diagnostics. They use it to deliver and measure ads, limit abuse, and prevent fraud. Where required, an in-app consent form asks for your choices before an ad request, and Settings provides access to those choices again.
The optional one-time “Unlock every map” purchase is processed by Google Play or Apple. Worldstitch receives the product and transaction status needed to grant or restore the unlock. We do not receive your full payment-card details. The store’s privacy policy and account settings govern its payment processing.
Website, waitlist, and service information
If you join the waitlist, Vercel sends your email address, optional game name, and signup time through Resend to our email inbox. We keep the resulting message to send Worldstitch updates and understand interest in the app. If you contact us, we receive your contact details and the information you include so we can respond.
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits, referring websites, browser and device categories, and approximate location. Vercel describes this analytics service as cookie-free. See Vercel’s analytics privacy information. Our hosting and AI providers also process technical request information, such as IP addresses, request times, and error or usage records, to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the services.
The mobile app does not require a Worldstitch account and does not include a mobile analytics SDK. Website analytics also applies when you open this website from the app. See the privacy policies for Google, Apple, and Resend for their processing.
Storage, retention, and deletion
- On your device: saved captures and maps remain until you delete them or remove the app’s data. Keyframes may be removed after stitching according to your settings. Exported or shared copies and device backups must be managed separately.
- AI requests: Worldstitch’s image-processing routes do not save uploaded images or generated results to a Worldstitch database or file store. They process and forward the request and return the result. This does not mean that hosting or AI providers have zero retention: inputs, outputs, download URLs, and service logs may persist under their own policies. Deleting a map on your phone does not delete copies held by a provider.
- Waitlist and correspondence: we keep these while needed to provide the updates or support you requested. You can request removal from the waitlist or deletion of information we hold. Records needed for security or legal obligations may need to be retained for those purposes.
For help with a past AI upload, contact us with the feature and approximate request time. We can help identify the request and seek deletion from the relevant provider where possible. Please avoid sending the original image or sensitive information unless needed to handle your request.
Your choices and rights
You control screen-capture permissions through your device and can decline each AI upload. You can stop future AI processing by not using those features. Withdrawing permission cannot undo an upload that has already been processed.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to make a request, leave the waitlist, or report a child’s personal information that you believe was submitted to us.
Who is responsible and how to contact us

Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its revision date when our privacy practices change. Material changes to AI uploads will also be reflected in the app’s disclosures before you choose to upload.
